My name is Jeong Won — 정원 — and it means garden.

For most of my life, I kept it quietly in the background. It was mine, but I hadn't fully claimed it yet. It took time and the kind of maturity that only comes from living — before I finally turned toward it and felt something I can only describe as jeong.

In Korean, jeong (정) is the deep, quiet bond that forms when you keep returning to something. It isn't love at first sight. It's the attachment that builds slowly, through presence and consistency, until one day you realize you can't imagine life without it. That is how I came to love my name.
